LEO FULL MOON

get bored with yourself.

There are no finite stories to tell here.

This is a book without binding. No beginning. No end. No cover. No prologue or epilogue.

If we had access to such a book, the first thing we would do is to look up our own name. We would read about ourselves first.

We would bore of that, eventually

grow tired of our own tales.

We would skip past the mundane daily tasks of feeding and cleaning and jump ahead to the dramas— those heart exciting highs and lows.

Triumphs and failures.

In reading that book of life, let’s get bored enough with ourselves that we start to look at one another.

And even in that, we would see ourselves.

Our woven cells.

It starts with a point then the connection.

A first breath.

An origin

(and whatever came before that)

We will never have access to that big book of existence.

So the question is:

How do we get bored with ourselves and take interest in others?

How do we heal our wounds enough to move on, stop waving our stories like flags and exist without justification?

Our individuality, dual edged

gifts us self-awareness as well as separation.

ask us to go it alone.

Have we lost our nature?

When a tree is injured, sick or threatened

The forest network knows where to send resources.

I want to be like a forest and

stop believing myself a lonely tree.

I belong. You belong. We belong.
