  • First Degree Reiki Initiation with Ursidae is a comprehensive training workshop. You will depart from the retreat weekend with the tools, information, and practice to prepare you to step further into your practice and self-development or to add this to your existing professional practice as a healer.

  • As Reiki is transmitted from teacher to student, there have been disconnects, amalgmations and synthesis that have “Americanized” a discipline that was established in Japan and brought to the United States.

    Ursidae has no delusions about being a torchbearer of this sacred tradition and recognizes the harm of well-intentioned woo-woo that has disconnected the practice from its roots. There is no sped-up version of integrating a relationship with this practice and with the energy vibration of Reiki.

    Ursidae teaches in a traditional method being as true to the original teachings as they are able and providing in-depth and exclusive material that is not a mass-produced text, but an evolving manual handed to them through their lineage.

    The call to teach in person throughout a full weekend allows time, depth, connection, and integration of First Degree Reiki. There is no combination of courses (Reiki I & II ex.) because there is no goal in this journey. It is a process. You are in process.

  • I commenceed my Reiki studies in 2002 and have followed a course of authenticity as I found my way towards teaching twenty years later. My apprenticeship included a dozen audits of both Reiki I and Reiki II and additional studies in psychotheraieutic Reiki techniques brought about by Virginia Samdhal, one of Takata’s initiated Master Students. I was then able to be inititated to Reiki III which I practiced for a decade before completing my Mastership training in 2022. My teacher was strict in additional coursework including intuitive development, perceptual work, wisdom discourse from world traditions along with counseing techniques, spiritual emergency topics. Additionally I have a Master’s in Clinical Social Work and years of Nutritional Educator services in dietary health and supplements. More information is available in about Ursidae.
